Working with TransCanada, North America's leading energy infrastructure company, 2Badgers served as senior negotiator and lead researcher on the Aboriginal Oil Spill Response Initiative. 2Badgers assisted TransCanada to negotiate Mutual Benefits Agreements; in leading Chief, Council, and community presentations; and helped put in place Aboriginal contract, procurement, training, and education initiatives.
2Badgers served as the Indigenous engagement advisor for the Petronas proposed natural gas liquefaction and export facility located on Lelu Island in the District of Port Edward, near Prince Rupert, BC. This included consultation and engagement with the Metlakatla, Kitselas, Kitsumkalum, Gitxaala, Lax Kw’alaams and other Indigenous communities that would have been affected by the proposed plant.
2Badgers has provided Indigenous engagement advisory and pipeline safety services on behalf of Shawcor, an integrated energy services company that provides pipeline protection products and solutions. 2Badgers worked with Indigenous communities to protect their natural assets on traditional territories as well as engage them in employment opportunities as well as resource-based management.
